This is a book by the man who wrote The Remains of the Day, which was a great book that made a good movie. No clue about this one. I never read it.

Trivia: Kazuo Ishiguro won the Nobel prize in literature. His birthday is 8 November. Albert Camus won the Nobel Prize in Literature, and his birthday was 7 November. My birthday is 7 November, but I have only won a couple of prizes, none of which had a check attached to them. (Well, I did win a $10 gift certificate to James and Law Bookstore when I won the Creative Writing Award in high school. Then I won a $50—FIFTY DOLLARS!!—gift certificate to the campus bookstore when I won a writing contest in college.)

Note: there are marks on the cover of this book made by a coffee cup or some other kind of cup. (See photo.) Whoever would set a wet drink on top of a book needs to be whipped.
